Gibbons and Grimes Arts and Crafts Committee
Arts and Crafts, is a way for Sisters to display their talents while helping other Sisters that are distressed. The Arts and Crafts Committee sells the works of art at our annual Grand Session to help raise funds to support our Sisters and their families in a time of distress.
Prince Hall Grand Chapter Order of the Eastern Star of Georgia Arts and Crafts Committee began under the tenure of Grand Worthy Matron Lillian E. Blake. Grand Worthy Matron appointed Sister Lavonia Phillips as the chairperson. Other members on this committee were Sister Artella B. Huff Grimes, Sister Annie B. Gibbons, and Sister Marie Blake. They served and made an awesome team. Their team work and service to members of the Order was inspiring.
During the tenure of Grand Worthy Matron Vashti Grimes Pullen, several committees were renamed including The Arts and Crafts Committee which is now known as the Gibbons and Grimes Arts and Crafts Committee. Sister Lucille Clark currently serves as the Committee Chairperson.
The Arts and Crafts committee is asking all Sisters to please bring an item of special importance to place on the arts and craft table. YES! It can be something you like to make for the holidays as they do come every year.
The Arts and Craft Committee will be collecting your works of Arts three times a year including at our annual Grand Session, annual Mid-Winter Meeting and annual Prince Hall Day celebration.
Thank- You in advance,
The Gibbons and Grimes Arts and Crafts Committee
